Postgres Plus Certified Professional

Postgres Plus Certified Professional (PPCP) is the definitive standard for PostgreSQL professionals. PPCPs will have demonstrated an advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL's internal mechanisms, including the ability to work in demanding, large-scale, real-world production environments.

This certification requires the candidate to pass two exams. The Advanced Postgres Plus Administration exam covers theoretical and practical topics, including replication, advanced database security, disaster recovery, table partitioning, high availability, spatial data, and full-text data. The Postgres Plus Performance and Scalability exam covers query tuning, performance monitoring, distributed parallel query (GridSQL), distributed memory caching, integrated connection management, and index management.
